I am a huge believer in the empowering nature of entrepreneurship for parents.  Running your own business gives you the freedom and flexibility to combine parenting with work in a way that suits you and your family and opens up so many avenues for a fulfilling and prosperous career.  Many people find that, after having children of their own, their priorities shift, not just in terms of wanting to spend more time with their children but also in terms of re-engaging themselves with their passions and what truly matters in life. Entrepreneurship can be a great way to make that happen.  Becoming a parent is such a wonderful opportunity to step back and reevaluate the current trajectory of your life and to ensure that you are truly building the life you want - and not just making a living.
