A sense of adventure in life and a love of travel has always been a premium for me. I was fortunate to have been born and brought up in Hong Kong and spent much of my childhood travelling around the world with my parents and younger sister. Whilst undoubtedly a privilege, my travels also gave me the opportunity to see the world as it really is - beautiful, diverse, endlessly fascinating - but also troubled, unequal, my good fortune not to be taken for granted.
I've since lived and worked in many countries around the world and very much consider myself to be a 'TCK' - a third culture kid.
I want my children to grow up with an understanding of the beauty and diversity that this world has to offer and to understand the need to 'tread lightly' wherever they go, with a respect and reverence and love of difference, and a strong sense of responsibility to do their bit for the world.
